⚖️ Rice Purity Test: Online vs Manual Calculation

The scoring formula is identical whether you use our calculator or do it by hand. But the online version has some real advantages — and a few situations where pen and paper still makes sense.

What's the Same

The Formula Is Identical

Whether you take the Rice Purity Test online or with pen and paper, the underlying calculation is exactly the same:

Score = 100 − (Number of checked items)

Count your "yes" answers, subtract from 100. No weighting, no adjustments. A score of 72 from our online calculator is exactly the same score as a manually calculated 72 from the same 100 questions.

How to Calculate Manually

Print or write out all 100 questions

You can find the complete list on our homepage. Print the page or copy the questions to paper.

Mark each "yes" answer

Read each question and put a tick or checkmark next to any that apply to you.

Count all checkmarks

Total your marked questions. Be careful — it's easy to miscount 100 items. Count twice to be sure.

Apply the formula

Score = 100 − (your count). Done. Use the Score Meanings page to interpret your result.

⚠️

The most common manual error is miscounting. Using the online calculator eliminates this risk entirely.
