The Rice Purity Test Scoring Formula
Where N is the number of questions you check as "yes."
The formula couldn't be simpler. The Rice Purity Test has exactly 100 questions. You start with a score of 100. For every question where the answer is "yes, I've done that," you lose one point. The final result is your purity score.
No question is weighted more than any other. Holding hands romantically (question 1) and having a threesome (question 63) are both worth exactly one point each. This flat weighting is intentional — the test is not a moral scale.

Read each question carefully
Don't rush. Read each question completely before deciding. Some questions have nuanced wording. The test relies on your honest self-assessment.
Check each item that applies to you
Click or tap any question describing something you have ever done. You can use the category filters (Romance, Intimacy, Sexual, Substances, Law, Misc) to work through sections at your own pace.
Review your live count
The footer of the quiz shows your running total of checked items and your current score in real time. You don't need to click Calculate until you're done.
Click "Calculate My Score"
When you've reviewed all 100 questions, click the Calculate My Score button. Your final score, label (e.g., "Experienced"), and a description appear immediately.
Calculation Examples
📌 Example 1
You check 12 questions in the Romance and Intimacy categories. You've dated, kissed, and had some physical intimacy, but nothing more.
Score = 100 − 12 = 88

📌 Example 2
You check 35 questions across Romance, Intimacy, Sexual, and Substances. You've had relationships, sexual experience, and tried alcohol.
Score = 100 − 35 = 65

📌 Example 3 (Manual calculation)
You take the test with a friend using pen and paper. You each count your "yes" answers: you have 18, your friend has 52.
You: 100 − 18 = 82 | Friend: 100 − 52 = 48
Both valid scores from the same formula.
📌 Example 4 (Edge case: score of 0)
Theoretically, if someone checked all 100 items: Score = 100 − 100 = 0. Extremely rare. The test even jokes this "will likely result in death."

Common Questions About Calculating Your Score
