A Score of 100: What It Actually Means
Completely Innocent
You checked zero of the 100 questions. You have not done any of the listed experiences.
A score of 100 is the maximum possible score on the Rice Purity Test. It means:
- You have never held hands romantically
- You have never been on a date
- You have never kissed anyone
- You have never had alcohol outside a religious context
- You have never had any sexual experience
- You have never had any of the other 95 experiences on the list
It is, in the literal sense, a "completely innocent" result.
Who Scores 100?
A score of exactly 100 is uncommon in adult populations, but not impossible. It is most often associated with:
Very young teenagers
Preteens and early teenagers (12–14) who genuinely haven't had any of the listed experiences yet. Many of the test's items require life circumstances (relationships, social settings, adult environments) that younger people simply haven't encountered.
Adults with specific backgrounds
Some adults who grew up in highly conservative or isolated environments, or who have made deliberate lifestyle choices (certain religious commitments, intentional abstinence) may genuinely score 100.
It's worth noting that even the first question — "Held hands romantically?" — is something most adults over 18 have done. A genuine score of 100 in an adult is statistically very unusual.
What a Score of 100 Doesn't Indicate
- It doesn't mean you're a better person. Virtue and moral character are not measured by a purity test.
- It doesn't mean you're happier. Life satisfaction and experience breadth are unrelated.
- It doesn't mean you're more trustworthy or reliable. These are character traits with no relationship to a purity score.
- It doesn't guarantee you'll stay at 100. Life experiences happen; scores can only decrease over time.
Example Profiles for a Score of 100
12-year-old Alex
Has crushes on classmates but has never been on a date or kissed anyone. Has never tried alcohol or been to an unsupervised party. Has no legal history of any kind. Score: 100.
22-year-old Jordan
Grew up in a highly religious community with strict boundaries. Has chosen to wait for marriage for all romantic and sexual activity. Has never drunk alcohol or tried substances. Score: 100.
Are You Sure About Your 100?
If you scored 100 and you're over 18, it's worth double-checking a few of the early questions:
- Have you ever held someone's hand in a romantic way? (Question 1)
- Have you ever been on a date? (Question 2)
- Have you ever kissed anyone on the lips? (Question 6)
If you missed any of those, your score might be slightly lower. The test works best when you go through all 100 questions carefully rather than skipping to the end.
